8.1. Copiers: Create User Login Presets
To send a print job to the copier, your account code must be “sent” each time you print. Here is how to set your printing preferences to do that.
1. Have something to print
To setup your printer "Presets:" You must have something to print. This example uses TextEdit.
2. File > Print dialog

- Printer: set to RHS-403C.
- Presets: set to Defaults. The preset "Defaults" will print to printers, but not copiers. You do not want to use "Default Settings" when printing.
- If this says Show Details, click it to see Hide Details and expand the print dialog.
3. Switch Printer: to a copier.
Click on the list of printers and click a copier name. It doesn't matter which copier, it must be a copier.
4. Select the User Login option
Each program displays the printer options in slightly different spots. Your printer dialog box might look (a lot) different.
- Click the printer options
- Click User Login
5. User Login Information needed
You are not ready to print yet. So, don't.
- Click "on" User Login
- Click "Use Specific Name".
- Enter your name aka Access Code. Your 4-digit Access Code corresponds to Name:
6. Save your User Login information as a preset to use later.
Click "Save Current Settings as Preset..."
7. Preset options. Very important.
- Type a descriptive name. "User Login" without the quotes is a good one.
- CRITICAL: Click the "All printers" option. Did you notice this selection is critical?
- Click OK.
8. Ready to print

Printer: is set to a copier.
- Presets: is set to User Login (it is not set to "Default Settings).
- Click Print.
